Obligations of an EU Blue Card holder:
1) If a holder of an EU Blue Card terminates his/her employment during the period of its validity, he/she is required to report this fact to the Ministry of the Interior within the specified time limit
2) An obligation to report a change of the employer and a change of the professional position (
During the first two years, these changes are subject to prior consent of the Ministry of the Interior. After the first two years of the foreign national’s stay in the territory, there is an obligation to report these changes within 3 working days.)
3) To report important facts related to the foreign national’s stay in the territory
Some compromises were made, as "Member States to set quotas on Blue Card holders or to ban them altogether if they see fit." The Blue Card rules also could run into problems with the European Permanent Residency Directive.
I ovo:
Three and a half years after it was supposed to be put into effect, some Member States (such as Spain and Belgium) have yet to fully enact the law or give the rights promised in the directive.
